My Services
Evaluation
An evaluation is often the first step when families have questions about their child's development. I welcome these questions and seek to partner with caregivers throughout the evaluation process. I use standardized testing, clinical observations, and caregiver reports to assess a child’s fine motor, gross motor, visual motor, and sensory processing skills. The evaluation process is an opportunity to learn more about a child's strengths as well as any areas in need of additional support.
Direct Treatment
Treatment sessions take place in a sensory gym. This is a unique space that fosters and encourages sensorimotor exploration and play. In this environment, with access to specific pieces of equipment, we can address a child’s sensory processing as well as any associated gross and/or fine motor difficulties. When appropriate and necessary, treatment can be provided remotely.
Parent Coaching
In this format, I work directly with parents to understand and tackle issues that a child may be experiencing in the home. These concerns may vary from difficulty with following household routines, picky eating, melt downs/temper tantrums, difficulty with transitions or conflicts with other family members. My goal is to educate and empower parents so they can implement strategies on the spot to help support their child’s development while simultaneously strengthening the parent-child connection.
Consultation and Workshops
I have had the privilege to consult with and provide workshops for a variety of different New York based schools and organizations. My audiences include parents, teachers, graduate students and other care providers. I strive to make my presentations interactive, engaging and accessible to all that attend. I am also available for one time or ongoing consultation.
